Wisdom.... comes not from age, but from education and learning.

Training

For a time, my production company, Bright Tomorrow Productions was the main video vendor for Learning Tree International. I produced video content for their course and managed a large media program for this dream client. This in-depth experience and the downward trend in good customer service across the country prompted me to create a video course for small businesses.

Creating Customer Service Intelligence

The average employee watches 35 hours of television per week, so I wanted the video elements to look like a television show. We formed a new company, Trainevision, and we set about creating Customer Service Intelligence in the form of prime time procedurals like CSI and NCIS.

I couldn't have done any of the work below without the hard work and gracious assistance of my amazing production, post-production and learning & development friends. And of course the happy work of getting the course in the hands of receptive learning content providers and distributors is ongoing. Check out the course galleries below.

Learning Tree International Videos

My overall responsibility was to help Learning Tree turn their courses into video rich experiences. And that meant helping course authors write entertaining story-driven video scripts that we could shoot within budget.

I reviewed courses, case studies and scripts to make sure all case studies were solid and the scripts were as entertaining as possible. Where necessary, I consulted and shared best practices for improvement. When budget permitted, I tweaked, edited or rewrote scripts myself. As a resource, I created The Course Author’s Guide to Hollywood-style Scriptwriting, a 17-page booklet of tips, pointers and “how-tos.” The video below is Episode 1 of a 5-episode "bitcom" series I wrote and directed for what became one of their top-selling IT courses.
