You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

Action

For action scripts, I usually look for compelling real life events that have been swept under the rug for whatever reason. It’s fun to take gnarly premises, people them with noble heroes, believable villains, and seemingly insurmountable odds; then watch what happens. The concepts below were born from real life events so indicting that they were swept under a rug...that was promptly cemented over; then covered with AstroTurf and dropped in the ocean (on Mars).

Detail: Action Thriller (Journalism)

Inspired by: The American Eugenics movement and War Against the Weak, by Edwin Black.

Logline: To stop tomorrow’s vote on an untested genetic alternative to the death penalty, Senator Sam Nagel must prove its potential for mass abuse tonight, on live TV. But as he relives the deadly past when he and his muckraking uncle stopped a related atrocity, a more ominous present unfolds with each commercial break.
